Why even have colored filters available if this app doesn’t have the capability to save them? I am able to save the images I take from this magnifier, but they save as the original colors. So annoying. I am a digital/graphic artist and would like to save the images that are FILTERED. Can anyone advise how to do this? Without saving the images I want in the cool, filtered colors, this app is WORTHLESS to me. So sad!
This app has excellent magnification capability.I was able to remove a very small sliver of a splinter that I could not see at first. The magnification app allowed me to see it and remove the splinter perfectly. There would’ve been no chance to do so without the use of this app.
When you take a picture, it doesn’t save the filter to the picture, so what’s the point of the picture? And, I made it so that it shows both cameras, but when I go and turn the filter off, it gives it this reddish orangish tone to it, but down at the bottom where it give you the preview for what the filters look like, it’s fine, and it does this for both cameras. The invert filter is too high in brightness because it’s not very dark or light in my room, but it makes it so that its just an off-white so I can’t see anything. I tried restarting my iPad for this problem but it doesn’t do anything. Make an update for this so that it doesn’t do this anymore. It’s really annoying.
So I noticed this app in my App Library awhile ago when I updated to iOS 15.4. I was interested in it, so I clicked on it. It did not respond. It was just blank for literally one second, then went back to my Home Screen. I’ve tried looking up how to fix this, and I’ve seen multiple videos telling me to go to go to settings>accessibility>magnifier>on. I tried that, but the magnifier option isn’t there. I don’t know if it has something to do with my camera app, because my back camera doesn’t work, unless it’s a 2x zoom. Can somebody help me with my problem? An Apple employee or someone that knows tech problems like this?
There was already a option to add the magnifier in the control center menu in settings, which provided the same function as this app. Why add a physical app icon for a feature that has been included with iOS and iPadOS for a while now and not even giving me the option to delete it without disabling the magnifier entirely. Not the end of the world but Kinda annoying. rant over,RayP.s iOS 15 is pretty solid though, so far so good!
I am legally blind with no vision in my right eye. This tool enables me to do things like following instructions for building models with LEGO. Turning on the light significantly helps bring out the colors. Only trouble is, after a while, my phone heats up enough to start reducing my display’s brightness to as low as 50%. I have an XS Max. Its OLED display could hardly produce a better picture, if only it would remain as bright as I want it, even while using a demanding application, such as this one.
This app does exactly what it needs to. Apple made “Magnifier” to help people who are blind or colourblind. Many reviews complain that the photos they take on the app do not automatically save to the gallery, but the photo feature is to zoom in on an object or text without needing to hold your phone still, not to take a picture. If you want to take a picture, the camera app would be your best choice.Thank you, Apple, for creating this app for visually challenged people.
I accidentally clicked on a phishing link through a discord server for Shiba Inu coin. This camera app opened, I took a pic of my license and took a selfie. After verifying I had a NFT stolen from my OpenSea account. Also, this app was hiding in the background of my iPhone. I went through my phone with Apple support deleting any old apps. It wasn’t until my phone was on the Home Screen and I swiped to the App Library and I saw the Magnifier logo but it was not on my Home Screen. At which time I deleted the app. Also let it be known I did not download the app, the phishing link did it automatically.
I use this app a lot. It would be great if a widget could be developed for the lock screen. There are times when I’m in the grocery store and need the magnifying glass to read the fine print on products and I’m fumbling with my phone to open the app.
Invaluable app many users have no idea exists on their iPhone. Set it up for triple-click power button access. Very useful and of course it’s free, no ads and junk, because it’s a system app.
