User Reviews for Logic Puzzles Daily

Favorite Logic Game

I really enjoy this App for my daily logic puzzle fix. I’ve played so many different ones, and some can be very confusing, worded poorly, not give sufficient clues to solve the puzzle, etc. Some don’t fill in the “X” in the remaining boxes when you mark the box you believe to be correct, and without those X’s, it’s very hard to see where the puzzle is going, so thank you Logic Daily for automatically filling them in! 👍 Your puzzles are fun, challenging, and generally solvable, even if sometimes I have to take a guess between 2 “possibles” to proceed. One improvement I would like to see is the category name added to the Top/Sides to help with solving. For instance, a puzzle with Captains and 1st and 2nd Officers just has names listed, but you have to also figure out, and then remember, that Jo is a Captain and Suzy is a 1st Officer…makes that a bit annoying. Solvable, but annoying. The other thing, for me, is adding friends. Would like to do that, but Facebook as the only way? Is there another? As it is, I haven’t been able to add any friends. But that’s just a minor thing. Overall, I really enjoy your App! Thank you so much 😊

Hints are WRONG!

I love doing logic puzzles before I go to bed because it’s very relaxing to me. I’ve had this app for a few years and have recently noticed that when I click to watch a hint, I’ll make it through the video and receive my hint, but the hint that they give you is incorrect, so your whole puzzle ends up wrong. So I waste 30 seconds off timer on the hint, and then I have to waste another 30 seconds by checking all my answers to be sure that they gave me the correct hint, which most of the time they don’t. This is very frustrating to me as I usually can’t make it past all the instructions more than one time without getting a hint because I don’t feel like I have enough info, and it keeps me from getting relaxed because I’m irritated lol. Otherwise, I love this game. I have spent money for no ads and have purchased multiple extra packs. I will keep playing but I do hope they fix this issue.

Pretty good

I just tried this app. I do a lot of logic puzzles and I’m always looking for new ones. The puzzles have been interesting and enjoyable. I would give five stars, if not for a couple of things. This is the only logic puzzle app I’ve tried that has ads, which is annoying. I see that buying a puzzle pack will stop the ads, so if I keep this app I will do that. The first thing that bothers me is that the timer doesn’t stop until all the cells are filled in, even if the puzzle has been solved. I wish I could just fill the grids on the top row, or the left-hand column. The other thing that bugs me is that there are punctuation errors. For example, the first puzzle I played had apostrophes in the surnames of all the couples. (Mr. and Mrs. Smith are “the Smiths”, not “the Smith’s”.) It doesn’t affect the playability, but it drives me crazy. If I delete this app, that will be the reason. If those two things were changed, it would be a five-star app.

Fun... if it loads

Hi I love your app, and love logic puzzles. I like that there is a time to beat, but that you can take as long as you want to solve the puzzles. I really love some of the quotes said by the Einstein character, very inspiring! I downloaded this app a week ago or so, and I bought one of the extended packs. Everything was going great, and I was enjoying it fully. However, since this last update, I am having difficulties loading the game. It has the initial screen up with a message that comes up saying “loading puzzles, please wait.” No matter how long I wait, it never moves from that. I shut app down, restart, same thing. Sometimes I can open the app up and it loads everything instantly and plays fine. But more often than not, I am running into this loading problem. I just shut app down and restarted 20 times, waiting a little bit here and there, and it’s just not loading right now. I’ve tried restarting phone, no difference. I shut down other open apps and cleared my cache (something that seemed to help once before), and still no progress. What’s odd is it seems like it’s in the game, but not showing me anything besides this screen because I’ve tapped on it and then I got an apple store pop up asking me if I wanted to buy a puzzle pack. I’m on a 6S iPhone (still works great! ;) Please fix so I can rate higher!Having no issues anymore, upgraded to 5 stars! (June 2021)

I enjoy it

If you like logic puzzles (like the ones in those big variety puzzles books) then you’ll like this app. No pop ads while you’re playing that stop your momentum which is great. Good chunk of free puzzles plus daily puzzles that are free. Actually clicking on the boxes is sometimes a little hard on a small phone but it usually isn’t a problem for me and I like the options it offers while filling out the grid. Only real downside (for me) is the “professor’s time”. I know that there are people who can easily beat that time but I am not one of them. Ever. I can’t even read through the clues and click within some of those times haha. But that’s more of a me problem than the games problem.

Pretty fun but not five stars.

I love doing logic puzzles and do them all the time at home so I know what to expect. This app is fun and there are some good puzzles but I really dislike how they don’t tell you important info you may need. For example, if a logic puzzle is going to put in “Mr. —“ or “a boy wore purple” they usually tell you which name belongs to which sex. Most of these puzzles are made in England and have English names and dishes, and some of us who are not from England don’t know Basil is a boy’s name or if a certain dish has beef or not. Also, if you complete a puzzle but do not watch the entire ad after, the game erases your progress for your game. I understand if the game has ads but to erase everything you did because you didn’t watch an ad is insane. I do like the app though and I wouldn’t mind paying for other packs but $2 for 20 puzzles seems a bit much to me, especially when you can get an entire logic book for $5 with 100 puzzles in it. I’ll probably end up deleting this app when I finish all the free puzzles. Also, with the new update that came out today (May 9th, 2018), things are zoomed in really strange for the iPhone X. I’m not deducting this from the app score but it is a current issue.

Very fun

I really like this game. I’ve been trying to do logic puzzles for a while and this is the first app where I’ve enjoyed doing them. The other apps I’ve tried are all too complicated, ad-filled, or flashy. The Einstein character has enjoyable Souter and tips but isn’t so obnoxious that you have to look at if you don’t want to.My two issues:1. Getting a hint, there is an option to get a hint after watching an add. Nice feature that you don’t have to pay for. However it is not made clear that getting a hint adds time to your clock also after using a hint one time, the game seems to lock hints unless I restart.I can appreciate not wanting to give out too many hints at once but if there is some kind of lockout, or timer I would really appreciate some indication of this.2. This is likely more of an issue for me than for other players. I am visually impaired, and very bright colors (such as the bright, white, board) hurt my eyes. I usually play it with the Apple built in color inversionon. It would be nice if there was some type of option to change the board color to something that would be more comfortable.

Probably the best logic puzzler available

Out of all the puzzlers I’ve tried, this one is by far the most complete. There’s a free daily puzzle and the previous 3 days are also available, so right away you’ve got endless free content. One purchase does away with ads so that’s an easy sell. The best value are daily packs. $1.99 buys you puzzles from a two month period (62-63 puzzles) with packs dating back over two years. As for features, it’s got all the ones you should have for this style of puzzle (believe me, many others don’t). But I’ve got two nitpicks: 1) it has a timer (inherently there’s no problem with this, but I wish you could disable or blank it out) and 2) the hint system doesn’t explain the hint (you just get a box filled in or ruled out). But these are nuisances. There’s no downside to this game. Highly recommended.

Fun but with problems

Overall it’s a fun game and a good amount of free puzzles. Here’s my biggest problems:1) Puzzles are very confusing with numbers. It’s hard to tell what it means by a higher or lower number. For example, if one of the puzzle parts you need to figure out is a ranking, and it says someone is ranked 2 higher than another person, logically you would thing they were ranked better (e.g., 1 instead of 3). But game often means they were ranked a higher number (e.g., 5 instead of 3), even though that’s a worse (lower) ranking. These puzzles (which are in a lot of them) are poorly explained and destroy your whole thinking.2) Boxes are too small. Often leads to clicking wrong box. 3) Can only “undo” latest clicks in reverse order. So if you need to change something earlier, you have to switch it from an X to correct, then to blank. This wipes out all other inputs in that row/column and you have to remember and fix all those afterwards. Often easier to erase whole puzzle and start again.4) The times to beat are ridiculously low. I don’t think I could meet the times even if I knew all the answers from the start. The time it takes to simply tap the chart in all the squares takes up most of your time. Quickly lost any motivation to try and beat the times.

Best Logic Puzzler App...so far

Among the different Logic Puzzle Apps that I’ve tried so far, this is the best one. Took away two stars for typos/glitches (professor comments) and for making me do a review to unlock some puzzles. However, gave a star back for not having intrusive ads or a subscription format. Having purchased many Logic Puzzle magazines in the past, I don’t consider $1.99 too expensive to unlock 60+ puzzles under the Daily section. Appreciate that I get a free Daily puzzle and that the Professor’s comments when I fail to beat his time are not really mean. I am a leisure puzzler, so having a character throw my slower time in my face with harsh or rude comments would have made me delete the app immediately. Having completed maybe 70+ puzzles, I’d rate their difficulty in the easy to medium range since I haven’t had to use scratch paper for additional notes.
