Only Line2 to Line for 10$, Spam stay away

Well, I am a new customer, I might change my review, but so far, I haven’t seen anything positive from Line2, since I downloaded it, it started to freeze up, it is slow, I bought the Standard plan for unlimited SMS and unlimited Calls, but it is not letting me text people unless they are Line 2 customer, that does not make sense- we are talking about 13,20$ charge/mo and what is Business App not kids kind of thing.I still can make call, quality is So so.I tried to call like 10x they just don’t want to pick up the phone, well you still can send Email... wait till they respond. What is frustrating is that when you buy the plan they mention unlimited sms and call to US/ Canada from anywhere and when you use it. Not even 1 sms. Still waiting for a solution otherwise I am gonna cancel the whole thing and report to App Store. 3 days Trial( they charge you at the first min you pick your plan). 30 days money back well I will see if that is True... but hopefully they will fix the issue.

Pretty good for small business

It has been reliable and consistent for small business use with occasional phone needs. We get more junk calls than good ones so wish there was a way to filter those out. The voice message to text in an email is our favorite feature. The voice mail in general works well. For some reason, most phone calls are first dropped and then we have to try again. There is a slight delay so we often talk over people. Highest on our wish list would be the ability to create a list of contacts just for line 2. We’d like to at least be able to add a name to a recent phone number. We use Line 2 on our personal phone too which is great for receiving and making calls - keeps them separate from our personal number, but dislike the fact that it wants to access our personal contacts. Overall good value for our needs.

Good business tool in general.

I’ll give this one 4 stars as I’ve been using it for years now. The good points about it are that it interfaces well with the contacts app already on your phone. Works very well as a separate line and has its own texting function. It used to have a feature where my wife was able to get and access my VM from her phone. Then she could notify me of who to respond to first. Which allowed me to ignore the phone and just keep working. I only had to respond to her calls. They took that feature away. Please bring it back. I found it very useful in a micro business situation. Also the latest update seems to be dropping an inordinate amount of calls. I think you guys are trying to do too many updates. Once it’s working leave it alone.Update: I’m currently running iOS 14. The current version of Line2 doesn’t play nice with it. I can no longer attach a photo to any texts. You can select a photo but the app always fails to process it. Then the app locks up most of the time. I wrote to customer service and pointed out the issue. Their response was they needed more information. ??? Don’t they have iPhones with pics? Not being able to attach pictures to client’s texts is a serious serious issue that renders the app a 2 star app. FIX IT!!!

Don’t expect to use with Apple Watch

I just received an Apple Watch for Christmas and cannot for the life of me get the Line 2 app to install on my watch. Despite there being a troubleshooting page that says the watch app should automatically install, when I contacted support, the email I received in response basically said that there is no support for the Apple Watch, nor do they intend to support it anytime in the near future—meaning that if you’re like me and can’t get it to load on your watch, you’re out of luck. This makes my Apple Watch less useful to me than my Fitbit in this regard, because Line2 notifications at least buzzed on my Fitbit. One would think that with the move towards smart tech wearables, a company that wants to cater to businesses as a telephone line replacement would offer some sort of support in this regard. Overall, the app works well enough for my purposes because I send all calls to voicemail and only text, but if having a reliable phone line is super important to your business, just get a real line. When I have turned on calls in the past, a percentage wouldn’t make it through.

Avoid at all costs, terrible customer service

Line2, if you're reading this, you can thank your employee "Brian C" for causing you to lose a customer today. I would give Line2 negative stars if I could. I was a loyal customer for years, but I am now leaving this disrespectful company and will instead use Skype. The customer service from Line2 is the most wildly unprofessional I have ever seen. I spent over 9 hours trying to get in contact with Line2 over a billing issue that I wanted to quickly resolve so that I could pay Line2 and resume using their service. After many calls and messages, I reached a polite man on the phone who tried his best to help me but couldn't. My many emails went unanswered, I often encountered bots who ignored me on the online chat system, and finally, "Brian C" said he would ban me from the online messaging system after I told him that the company was acting unprofessionally and that I would need to delete my account if they couldn't resolve the billing issue. My interaction with Brian was the final straw after many negative experiences over the years with this horrible company (and during the holiday season in a pandemic, how tactless). Congratulations, Brian, you have worsened your company's reputation.

LOVE/HATE RELATIONSHIP.

I’ve been using this app for around ten years now and I’ll have to say that in all that time, my relationship with the app is still a love/hate one. I use the app almost every day and I use it often, it really serves me very well, but then again, there these little annoying things that really gets on my last nerve, like the fact that you can’t adjust the keyboard volume with out adjusting the volume on the entire device, so The Whole world has to know that you are dialing a number, (2) The WIFI signal strength does dot show up unless the called party answers the phone, so you never know if you even have enough signal strength to even make the call. (3) If you dial a number and the called party does not answer the phone, the dialed number does not show up in your Recents call list. (4) Right now, since this last update, when dialing a number from your contact or recent call list, the software seems to take for ever to acquire the dialing UI, and there are several other little quirks that I will not mention. I do believe that with a little effort, these are all things that the developers can easily fix if they wanted to. But in spite of all that, I still think it’s a great app and would highly recommend it, so go ahead and give it a whirl for 30 days for free, what have you got to lose? You may just find that you like it.

Necessary for my business, but not great.

Having two lines in my phone with two different area codes is critical to my business. I travel abroad a lot and having the ability to make WiFi calls is also vital. Unfortunately I wish I had a better option than Line 2, as the call quality is often quite poor and the whole app is quite glitchy. I can use WhatsApp for a perfectly clear call and then use Line 2 immediately after and the call sound is worse and has moments that are distorted and often with an apparent delay. The app freezes a lot with a few weird repeating issues, one of which is that a phone call will often not hang up until the phone is turned off and back on again. Also, I’m not sure why, but I seem to get more spam calls on my Line 2 number than on my primary line. I never read the fine print when I agreed to the terms, but I am assuming that Line 2 is selling their customer numbers. I do need that second number and the ability to make WiFi calls, but I’ll tell you, I use Line 2 as a last resort and as little as possible. It is reliable and good for texts though.

Awful Customer Service and Terrible Call Quality

The call quality is like making an international call 30 years ago or like playing the game telephone—garbled and unintelligible. The notifications you receive for calls are also quite inconsistent. Very often, important calls would simply not ring on my iPhone and navigating their convoluted system settings to fix the problem didn’t help. Finally, I decided to port out my Line2 number to a cellular carrier. I continue to encounter problems with the port request from Line2–everything from an invalid PIN (which Line2 provides, btw) to an invalid address (even though it’s definitely my address). I have been calling Line2’s customer service number (on hold for 45 mins before asking me to leave a message, and they never call back) and emailing them (4 messages/tickets started but no reply) but it’s like they know I want to leave their service and refuse to help. This whole company is a nightmare to deal with. If you port your number to them, be prepared to walk away and lose your number, because that’s the point I am fast approaching.

I’ve been looking for this solution for a while

This is a fantastic way to combine two phone lines on one phone! I’ve been using my corporate phone for five years now and didn’t want to lose my personal phone number. So I was paying a monthly service fee to Verizon to simply forward all of my calls. From time to time I would price other services but the savings didn’t seem worth the hassle of switching over. One day I searched online to see if anyone else had similar problems and came across the Line2 website. At first I thought it was too good to be true so I did my research, read reviews, looked them up on BBB, etc. it was exactly what I was looking floor! It was very easy to enroll and port my number over to them the app is user-friendly and does everything I would want to do. The only thing I would change is that when a call comes in from my personal line, the caller ID doesn’t work. It just says that the call is coming from me. But that’s a relatively insignificant thing against everything else it does. I love this service and recommend it to everyone who has to carry two phones!!

Over a Decade of Declining Service.

For the past year there are times where the app will just log out entirely. Then it refuses to recognise the credentials to login. This was remedied by a password change before, because it was at least possible to login to the website. Not anymore. It’s now only possible to login to a dashboard link that allows no changes and is currently only useful as a way to view received texts. Being this has been used as a primary phone number for over a decade, only because the alternatives are even worse, it’s difficult to leave. After messaging support and receiving no assistance at all, that even more painful option of leaving the app for good seems even more likely than ever. Why pay for a service that doesn’t work and doesn’t work well when it does and then provides no support to make it work? Typically after a certain amount of time a service that has somehow managed to exist should be expected to improve. In this case it’s obvious that quite the obvious is true.No Thank You Line2.
