Amazing app for the autism community

The games on this app and engaging and fun, I have seen many teens with Autism and other learning disabilities love playing the games. I have recommended this app to many parents as well as teachers hoping they will incorporate it into their curriculum. It also allows parents to track their child's progress and discover his/her hidden skills they can use in the real world to find a job. This is truly reinventing the possibilities for adults with learning disabilities.

Time-waster

Overall impression: this is a time-waster/baby-sitter for teachers & parents, disguised as an educational tool. This platform is marketed as games that identify child/student strengths. However gameplay is not of the quality to justify this claim. Quality of games and gameplay is awkward - even cartoonish. It also infers that results are research-based and identify skill-areas, but I find my own results (so far) to be either too vague or inaccurate.Games I’ve played so far are glitchy and inconsistent. For some games, the app needs to be relaunched after playing a few rounds. The prompt to play again or try another game (video of young woman) is glitchy. Some games increase in difficulty too quickly too gauge skill-level.I could only play the career-picker game ONCE, and it no longer loads. Then, the career choice results were vague or unrealistic. And to top it off, this game eats battery-life.Licensed OTR/L

Description

The Identifor app provides direct access to Identifor.com’s casual games that engage players while providing parents, educators, and clinicians valuable insights into a person’s unique abilities, skills and interests. We work to help players, parents and educators create meaningful educational/vocation plans for the pursuit of fulfilling futures for each individual. Identifor’s games collect data on a player’s decisions, responses, etc.

as he/she plays. We use artificial intelligence to analyze the collected data to provide insights into the Identifor Player’s: · Abilities using the work pioneered by Harvard Professor Howard Gardner in his theory of Multiple Intelligences. · Executive Function (EF) skills based on the work by Professor George McCloskey from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, a leading author in the growing field of EF. · Career interests building on the work by John Holland from Johns Hopkins University. Playing games is always free. Parents can subscribe to access the dashboards on the Player’s abilities, skills, and interests. Learn more at www.identifor.com.
