Now that's what I'm looking for!!!

This game is so challenging and I can see why people are hating. But there are walkthroughs!! And it's not a game that can be finished in a couple of hours or a couple of days no matter how smart you are. It took me a couple of months just to finish ONE puzzle because I got stuck. But the reason I like this game so much is because it tells a good story, it's not that scary, the graphics are amazing, and it's challenging!! I'm psyched for 3!!!!🤗🤗

Extremely Difficult & Awesome Game

This game is leaps and bounds more difficult than your average "escape" game. The attention to detail and the atmosphere are fantastic, and the storyline is truly creepy. I had to check out the walkthrough multiple times because, as other reviewers stated, some parts are very unintuitive and difficult to figure out (oddly enough, knowing Hebrew is a plus for finishing the game). Definitely worth the $3.00!

Very well done and super challenging!

This game is almost flawless. Great plot, nice graphics and difficult puzzles. But the player must be warned. This is probably the most challenging point-click puzzle game out there. There are virtually no hints, and you often have to click on every little spot to find new objects or a new area to explore. I found it a bit annoying that there are objects that apparently can be interacted with, because they have a description, but that play no role in the game development. Overall, a beautifully done game, well worthed its price

By far, the best escape type game

100% worth $2.99 for the full version! I don't know if it would have gone faster on an easier mode, but I played on the Brainy mode and it took me several hours to complete. The graphics are really good, also. The controls on the puzzles were a little off at times, but it didn't take away from the fun of the game. Looking forward to #3!

A masterpiece

I played this game a couple of years back and I’m replaying it now and I can say without a doubt that this is a masterpiece and one of the most high quality games on the app store hands down my only problem is that we didn’t get a part 3 because this deserves so many sequels. You can see the effort they put into the making of this game and it’s worth every single penny, that’s coming from someone who never bought a game in the app store. I just hope that if the developers get this they take into consideration making a new one because this is one of the most immersive and fun yet chilling horror games I’ve played.

Good puzzles, some clues are hard to find!

It well done, there are a couple of glitches, like when you pick up the blue key in the game room it still shows the key in the box. It’s also difficult to see the objects you need without hints, and even then you sometimes find yourself aimlessly tapping to locate it. But the puzzles are fun and interactive. The backstory is creepy and interesting. It does leave you goin Whaaaat?! At the end but I think it’s suppose to be that way. It’s be neat if there were alternative endings.

I'm not too smart but...

...I am enjoying my game. Without the help from a walk-thru, I probably would just toss this one aside. I wish the creators would have taken us low IQ's into account and given a few clues when we choose "easy" mode as opposed to "brainy". I feel no less stupid when playing "brainy" mode than I do on easy. If there is a difference, I am oblivious to it. Granted, it is still worth the 99€ I paid to waste a few moments of my escape, so thank you.

Challenging!

HN2 is more difficult than similar games I've played - - which is a good thing. So far, I've experienced no boredom. Frustration, yes. Boredom, no! There's no quick answer button in the app but there is a walkthrough. The graphics are well done and visually pleasing and both they and the soundtrack are appropriately creepy. The story is slowly being revealed and I expect it will continue in the delightfully horrible direction it's now heading in. This app is far more interesting than I expected it to be. I recommend it.

Incoherent puzzles - but great fun.

I pretty much agree with the other reviews. The game for 99 cents is an excellent bargain to enjoy a very long and difficult game. But some of the (pre) puzzle scenario clues were not very logical in relation to the puzzle you were attempting to solve. EX: tiles you needed that were located in places that made no sense to leading you to the location to find it. Some are located places in the game that require you to click on every inch of the screen to find. Also - yes, the game is too dark. But easy fix - Turn up the brightness setting a bit on your device when playing. Also - read reviews in the Lite version about the game being broken - ex: tiles not sliding -that's because they weren't supposed to - they needed to be turned when located other pieces - user error - the game worked Flawless for me - no prob at all.I would still recommend this game if you enjoy a real challenge that goes beyond typical hidden object challenge games. . .

One of the best. EVER!

Loved this game, it was masterful in so many ways. I'm a producer of several horror films that have been in theaters in nearly every country. I thought I'd seen it all, having seen soooo many films, to the point of almost being jaded to fright and scares. BUT THIS GAME SCARED ME in a lot of scenes!! Very well done, Redbit! Now where is Haunted Manor 3...?!?! :) I'm really looking forward to it. (My only suggestion is to have an editor - one who speaks English as their first language - for what is written in the description of an item or a room; far too many grammatical errors, misspelled words, repeated words, etc. This looks unprofessional when you've not spent enough time reviewing these mistakes before release. Here it is well over a year since release date, several updates made, but still you have these typographical mistakes. Just trying to help!)
