Making life easier when playing, but...

This app has everything you need when it comes to tracking everything involved in the game. It tracks party, characters, the map, items, it randomizes the city cards and road cards, it has a combat system which is definitely a must needed. This has made the game very easy to play with. The issue I have is that there might be a glitch with the whole donating system or prosperity system. I think it’s off by 1 not sure. We realize that the combat system doesn’t record the life of bosses, which I understand it depends on how many characters. Wouldn’t know how they would program that. All in all I gave it 4 stars cause some minor things but it’s a great companion for the board game.

Can I rate this zero?

Do not use this app unless you plan on writing down your info in duplicate outside the app. I used to tip the developers monthly because at first I loved it so much. I used it for 6 months without even a glitch. But then randomly it stopped saving info even after re-entering it multiple times. I kept sending backup logs by email because of this but then developers said I never had an account with them even though you can clearly see I have monthly tips. Has utterly devastated my one GH party because we have no honest recount of what has happened. This was the worst experience with an app I have ever had. Do not trust. Do not download. Do not waste months of your life on something that will fail you. And if for whatever reason you do, do not spend any money. You will regret it. You have been warned.

Great App

Edit: disregard the below feedback it's perfect now. Not sure why my game wasn't registering different parties having different scenarios unlocked but it works and I have no complaints. Best companion app you can get 👌🏼Great app. I use it every time my housemates and I play and it is such a good addition to keeping track of things. My only complaint would be it doesn't seem to track individual parties you create so one party i have on here might be really far in but if I have another party just starting off it keeps all my unlocks across every party. Other than that amazing app all around

The Perfect Companion

This app is chalked full of features that makes the game more streamlined without taking away from the board game experience. Tons of great features and you can easily pick and choose which ones to use, or use them all. Clean, easy to use interface with a very polished and professional look. My favorite feature is the combat system making it much easier to manage enemies. Though I do greatly miss the monster combat modifier deck it sounds like that is being worked on. Even with the missing combat modifier deck I feel I need to give 5 stars because of all the other things this app does so well.

Strong edition to a campaign

The app is excellent. You can track practically everything you need for a campaign.There are a few annoyances which prevent me from giving the app a full five stars. It could use a sight overall to its navigation tree, as it’s not obvious where everything is to change various statuses for your game. It also has a small bug while changing flags or adding scenarios to your campaign. Also the auto save feature doesn’t trigger for all changes.Finnally... there are some global achievements which are not reflected in the app.These problem are easily tracked on your own. So overall 4 and 3/4 stars.UPDATE: The creator is responsive about these reviews. While I’ve seen no changes, it does take a while to squash out bugs - if they even exist.One more note.... please put all the achievements in one menu. Separate them in the menu. It took me forever to find the global achievements.Oh and the party report screen doesn’t seem to record number of achievements. They are still zero for me.

Fantastic

Great app with lots of features. Some I find especially useful, and some not, but others might. For one, I love the player sheet tracking between scenarios. It’s nice not having to keep a sheet of paper with 100 numbers scratched out. It is very easy to select perks, track gold/exp, and keep notes. One thing that is not currently working on the character sheet for me is when I try to add a purchased equipment item onto my character, it closes the keyboard and cancels that entry. However, this doesn’t seem to happen for another member of my party with the same app. The scenario tracker is fantastic too. It is a zoomable map with full ability to track what scenarios are open. The legacy tracking is really good too. The monster health and stat tracker doesn’t help us much as we like to put the counters on ourself. It feels more like a board game with that aspect and we can all see which monsters have what HP left and which monsters we should attack. This feature might be better when playing solo or with only two people in the party. All around, I really like the app and it is a great supplement to the game. Thanks to the developer - an obvious veteran to the game, if not a member of the development team.

Love it! But can’t get iCloud sync working

I just picked up this app and love all the functionality and streamlining it does fro Gloomhaven. Personally, I hate when a game requires you to write information down on paper. This app helps keep my groups game area clean and ensures we don’t forget our gold levels or experience totals. But I’m having a big problem when it comes to iCloud syncing. I purchased the monthly subscription but it does not appear to be syncing between my 2018 iPad and my iPhone 10. I can’t get the data to transfer over. Hope the developer can help.

Good but one big problem for me -UPDATE- It’s been fixed

-UPDATE- Wonderful customer service! I reached out to them after they asked me to send them an email and they immediately responded and worked with me to fix the issue and they have! Have updated to review to 5 stars. Great team and great app now without the crashing (: This is a very handy and useful app that I have just started recently using during our campaign. However, there is one bug that is consistent and quite annoying. Anytime I add a Global Achievement or a new location to the map, the app crashes entirely. I reopen it and the sticker has indeed been added but it crashes every single time without fail and when added all the locations unlocked since we started the campaign was a pain with it closing each time. Really needs addressed.

Great app but the card details seem incorrect

I just downloaded this app and the interface and app are amazing! Very easy to set up and use. I have found two issues though. The Personal Quest details differ between my game cards and the app. For example, my Inox Brute has Vengeance as a quest. The card states to complete five quests then unlock the Investigation scenario, but the app states to complete only four quests. My Spellweaver has Pounds of Flesh, which requires me to kill 20 Vermlings, but the app only states 15 kills are required. Why the app/card difference?Also, the Tip Jar option doesn’t appear in Settings for me so I can’t donate to remove ads; and trying to set up a subscription just spins and spins.

Fantastic Companion App

This has been so handy in keeping track of our campaign! Couple things that kept me from saying 4 stars though. The app as I can tell does not incorporate the characters from Jaws of The Lion. Which is a shame since we do have one person playing as the demolitionist. Also, I have not figured out how to add items that are found in treasure chests such as armor and weapons to your character tracking screen. Other than that this app is incredibly awesome and I can’t commend the creators enough for taking on such a huge task!
