Flawed

At times it becomes quite frustrating when there is no apparent answer to the puzzle. It’s also extremely frustrating when it’s impossible to go back and fill in some of the words you missed in a previous level; I made the mistake of trying to do this and was unable to return to where I left off. I had to restart the entire game and lost my progress, which was INCREDIBLY ANNOYING. But the one thing I would beg the developers to improve about this game is the godawful grammar. For a game that relies largely on words, you really should get this part right. It reads like it was done by a non-native English speaker. Hire an editor!

Another perspective

This game is definitely worth the 5 stars and the amount to purchase. This is more than just a puzzle, this allows one to view life from the eyes of another. Up until I figured out and solved the entire game including the secret words I didn’t quite understand and felt lost and unsure. If I wasn’t emphatic already for those that live this life daily, Ik that my heart has swelled more with compassion for them and hope one day this dark world will have light shed on it. Now I understand why the game is called G30 a little more. Take the time to really understand this game is more than just a game.

Decent game with a couple problems

I enjoyed this game quite a bit. The story is fantastic and kept me interested. The puzzles were decent, but don’t get challenging until very late into the game. Sadly, this was after I had already lost interest in completing the puzzles and just wanted to find out how the story would wrap up. The music was ok at best. G30 has a single song that it plays on a loop and quickly became irritating after two hours into my playthrough. Overall, I think it’s worth a buy given the riveting story and intriguing mystery.

Mixed feelings

The art, the sound, and the haptic feedback are what make this game four stars for me. It’s short the one star because I don’t entirely understand the game. I get the premise, but the blurbs are disjointed and nonsensical in places. It took me FOREVER to figure out that I was supposed to be clicking on words throughout the puzzles. I still don’t understand what it is that makes a word clickable in the first place...So, it’s a puzzle in the truest sense: I can’t even solve the puzzle of what the puzzle is! But I have always struggled with puzzle games (including games like Zelda that incorporate puzzles into the core gameplay) so I strongly suspect the disconnect is just me. More than likely, any person who loves puzzles will love this game. And if you’re high-sensory like I am, you’ll enjoy the art, the sound, and the haptic feedback. 😉

Not only an incredible game, but an incredible experience.

This is the rare game that truly takes you into its world with all of your mind. Often, a puzzle game will claim to have an underlying plot, when in reality the plot is totally unrelated to the game and serves only as a distraction. This game is not like that. The puzzles *are* the plot, and they tell the story without the need for the player to ever take their mind away from the puzzle. The story itself is incredible, eschewing the traditional Western narrative structure in favor of a looping, ambient format which largely original, at least in my own experience, and which fits the tone of the game as if they were made for each other, which of course they were. The gameplay is just as incredible, playing out in multiple layers simultaneously, with levels looping back on themselves, and a perfect difficulty gradient which kept me from ever feeling as if it was either too easy or too hard. This is the needle in a haystack. This is a truly amazing game and a truly amazing journey, and I am so glad I discovered it.

Worth an entire play through.

This game might not be expensive, but the process it shows is worth its weight in gold. Watching the entire story build up... the ending just crushed me. This is the type of game that doesn’t take intelligence to create, it takes heart, and I have no doubt that is what the creators were using. I can honestly say I have a newfound appreciation for my life because of this game, and that is no exaggeration.

In pure awe of the game

I am in awe at this game. At first I went crazy about just being able with solving the puzzle. I just cared about getting to the next level. That was until I got engaged with the storyline. I almost became obsessed with getting every single word just to make the story make sense. At the very last level I was confused, more than the game itself made me – then it all just tied together it one of the best game finales I have ever seen. The music, the words, the messages between rounds, I loved it all. And when the story finally made sense, I got goosebumps. I love it and it was definitely worth every penny.

Brilliant execution of a challenging idea

How do you replicate the fractured world of someone with memory loss in puzzle form? Well, like this. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a better marriage of game mechanics and subject matter. As you work through the puzzles, watching words appear and disappear, you search for meaning; yet, as soon as you think you have grasped the story, it becomes a different story altogether. It’s incredibly empathetic, and I defy anyone with a soul to not experience a sense of the frustration and anxiety of not...quite...knowing who you are, and whether the pieces of your memory are even real. I get that doesn’t make it sound very appealing as a game, but it is, and a very positive experience overall.

Mental disease into a beautiful game

Idk how you take something like that and make it into one of the most beautiful, fun, entertaining, addicting and everything else games I have ever played. I could barely put it down. They also manage to use elements of that mental disease into the game play. It does a really good job of teaching you how to play without instructions. I wish there was a second one. It would be and instant buy!

For particular taste

I’m going to be honest, this game isn’t for everyone. The puzzle aspect of it goes deeper than the surface and it took me a few levels to even figure out what I was doing and how I was achieving it. However, upon watching the preview, I was immediately intrigued by the story line, concept art and music. It has so many soothing aspects but my favorite is the omission of a point system. The storyline is what makes the game so addicting. It only took me 3 days to complete the entire game. I won’t ruin the ending, but it was definitely worth the play and I will be recommending it to anyone who enjoys sensory based media. ✌️

It’s a two-part puzzle: a visual image of the memory and a telescopic text, that reveals itself with every step. You start with fragmented pieces of the picture and have to move them to restore the original image. In turn, telescopic text reacts to your every step – the closer you are to the solution, the more text unfolds. You are indeed remembering – adding details to the memory and forming a clear picture. A DEEP AND MYSTERIOUS STORY G30 is about memory and consciousness – and what they mean for a human being. There are people around who are losing their ability to remember – some kinds of mental diseases do that to a person. G30 shows how they see the world, how they feel about the past they can’t remember and the reality they can’t recognize.
