Good but has a problem
I really like the power of FTP On the Go. But for some of my longer files, it no longer works. If I try to hit return to add a new line in my HTML, or try to paste in more than one line, the app crashes. These are files I maintain with FTP On the Go on my iPad, and on UltraEdit on my PC at home. Cutting and pasting also have a problem, adding a leading space that I have to delete. Another app also adds the leading space; not sure what is going on. But that app at least does not crash.
Stopped working. No response from customer support!
I used to love using this app both on my iPad and iPhone. For some reason, it has just stopped working properly. The site directory doesn't appear when logging in, unless you press the refresh button. However, I can no long upload or download files. It just hangs on all communication operations. Unfortunately, I haven't had a response from customer support (contacted them twice now), so I had to make a change to Coda. I hope they ultimately fix whatever is wrong with the app so they can retain their customer base.

This is one of my favorite hacking apps. I can get In and out of my ftp server making changes to html, files and or uploading pics and stuff I need off my phone onto my server.
Broken photo edits in ios11
I have had this app for years, use it very very regularly and it is been great, but in recent iOS versions yet no longer edits photos properly. If you try to do a crop, it will crop not what you have seen on the screen but some different selection. I have replicated this many times and upgraded to the latest version, does it every single time. Very very frustrating.
Most Valuable and Useful
I’ve been using it for years. It’s always been one of the most useful apps in my toolkit. Even my wife is impressed with it and she doesn’t use it. Let me explain. I maintain her website. She a psychotherapist and I had added a new therapist to her site. She noticed a couple of typos in the new therapist’s biography. So while we waited for our lunch at a restaurant I pulled down the page in question, fixed the typos using the built-in text editor and moved it back to her site. I said, “All fixed.” She was amazed I could do that from our table while we waited. Thanks FTPOnTheGo Pro! It’s things like that that keep me using it.I had also noticed that the explicit FTPS option had stopped working at some when connecting to my FTP server, even after upgrading the FTP server. I switched over to SFTP in the interim. After getting my new iPhone the other day and upgrading to to the latest version of FTPOnTheGo Pro the explicit FTPS was working again. Thanks! Keep up the good work.I highly recommend it.
Can’t purchase pro
This is probably my favorite ftp app I’ve found, however in order to edit files I have to buy pro, which is fine. But when I try I’m told I have to be connected to the internet. My wifi is on. Please help. I’ll be happy to give five stars if I can get pro.

Confusing, spooky, seems to have a mind of its own, crashes
I don't know why the behavior of this app keeps changing. Why does clicking links in the browser view tell me "download complete" instead of opening the link? It wasn't doing that a minute ago. Why does it throw up a number entry bar to play the web view icon evenry time I save a document? I have no idea, and I'm not going to waste my time trying to guess any more.
Stopped working. Doesn’t work. No updates.
On IOS, you can download audio files, but the play function is blank.Another thing is, I got FTPOnTheGo. Then paid for FTPOnTheGoPro. And now have to pay AGAIN for FTPOnTheGoPro Pro? lol?This app needs to be removed from the App Store, and the developer needs to be removed until their products are tested and vetted. Period.
Smart & capable despite some hiccups & age
A couple of small bugs can make the app appear broken (see below), yet it's largely more capable than the popular and polished Textastic.The workarounds that keep it working for me:• When it appears to crash on launch, I'm able to get into it via the app switcher.• [UPDATE: This appears to be fixed in the 4 March 2018 update.) A file can appear almost entirely blank, showing nothing but its first line; momentarily rotating the device fixes this for me.The app's functions are more customizable and robust than those of Textastic. FTPOnTheGo Pro has simpler, less-confusing directory navigation than Textastic 5.3.1 on iPhone (where the file-transfer and local-files views can be readily mistaken for one another), and simple edits to a remote file needn't involve fussing with a local copy as Textastic requires. (Textastic also requires more care to make sure a file gets uploaded to the correct location—!)On the other hand, updates have been quite rare, while Textastic has smoother performance and a more pleasant editing environment, plus some support for VoiceOver.In version 4.4.2 my Dropbox connection isn't working.FTP On The Go PRO has a good FTP toolkit. If and when those bugs are fixed and it has a little more polish (better VoiceOver integration, more sharing options, etc.) I'll be happy to give it five stars.
