FIVE STARS! This is literally my favorite iPad art app of all time. I'm really enjoying the simple user interface and satisfying results. I especially love that this app gives you such a fun way to experiment with running through different layer blending options quickly. IT'S JUST A MASTERFUL WAY TO COMBINE LAYERS especially compared to the olden times with the laborious tasks in Photoshop. Again, the results are very satisfying. So much fun! Highly recommend!
I absolutely resent being directed to social media sites for instructions...particularly facecrook. That’s my hang-up I know but principles are principles. So I miss a website to which I can turn.Is there any way to control size? Why are some images full size and some to small to reproduce when the source images are the same size? I’m finding my way thru most issues but just having some guidance would be useful. Like here’s a question:when an image forms but the spiral keeps spinning, am I supposed to wait, and if I do, can I go somewhere else and keep checking back, the way can with Pikazo?Thanks...
I would love to see some upgrades to this app because I think the images that come out of it are fantastic for creating abstract digital art or for inspiration for a painting. This Maybe one of the most visually appealing abstract image creator that I’ve used. There just aren’t a lot of settings and controls, so I am hoping the developer will expand the capabilities. If so I imagine I will be using it a lot! And will change my rating to 5 stars ✨
I can't stop using it. I upgraded soon after using the trial. Worth every penny. It is everything I ever wanted in an art app, but couldn't explain - even if I wanted to... but somehow, you needed it too - and made it for everyone! Thank you so much. I love it as is, the limited functions is kind of what I like about it. It allows you to combine things/images/ideas/your own art/public domain and make you see it all in new and beautiful ways. Great work. Thanks again.
I’ve been using a slew of glitch art apps over the years. Most of these apps have expected controls and standardize tricks (scan lines; 3D; warp) but few are as stripped down and pure as FOTODA. FOTODA brings back the wonder of you working your imagery in a (somewhat) uncontrolled/unpredictable way - it spits out art! Now, I’ve found some ways to work the app for my liking, but it’s still so unpredictable and that makes it both fun and inspiring.
And actually brilliant. My most used app. At least half of the results are disappointing and I have to resort to browsing Twitter while waiting for the magic to appear, but it’s all worth it — over 1000 startling keepers over the past month.I wish it weren’t so easy to accidentally dismiss the new images when they appear, and I’d like to be able to select one photo, then let the app take over and surprise me. Fewer bugs and greater speed would also be nice. Meanwhile, I’m madly in love with the current version.Update: dev contacted me, turns out there's an undo function that allows you to recover a dismissed image. Solves the problem I mentioned above.
This brilliant app continues to be one of my favorite creative tools. I was hesitant to update, I didn’t want to chance losing something great, but I’m happy I did. The horizontal and high res additions were highly welcomed and I’m really enjoying the re-blend capabilities. Thanks for keeping this amazing artistic tool intact and improved yet again. I’m more than happy to give a few extra bucks for your continued efforts. Much respect.
I will go into deep mourning if this app ever ceases to exist. It has done so much for my creativity. If I feel like I’m in a slump, I play around with this for a while and then I’m back. I kinda wish there were some sort of settings so we could exclude certain output formats (I hate hate hate segments). It would allow me to save an awesome image that’s covered up by another image in the corner, and then import that into a new creation.Anyway, I’m super grateful for this app. Thank you so much for making it!! 💜😺
FotoDa is one of my *absolute* favorite apps (and I use a LOT of apps for my digital art!). Whether I'm purely freestyling, combining my own images with intention, or working on experimental collaborations with other artists, it is indispensable element of my creative toolkit. I always end up with splendid happy accidents that open up my work in fresh, unexpected, new ways. Mind-blowingly simple, yet mind-blowingly effective! THANK YOU! ❤️
This app seems to have potential but it is so slow and buggy it’s practically unusable. When I first open the app there’s just a white spiral on a black background FOREVER. It makes you wonder if it’s actually doing anything. Sometimes it takes 2 or 3 minutes to actually get to the opening screen and the tutorial, sometimes it never gets off the spiral. No one has time for that. I have many photo apps and none are as buggy and unusable as this. I’ve downloaded and deleted it many times on my iPhone XS and my iPad and it never works easily. Maybe the developer needs help. As it is it’s CRAP.
