WILL NOT WORK FOR BLACK PEOPLE

I kept thinking that I maybe had used photos with bad angles. I burned through at least 30-50 photos, and all of them came out with me being either distorted or white-skinned. Definitely a racist app, and it’s sad because I’ve been trying for so long to look for a generator that would turn my selfie into an anime character. Oh well, the search continues.

This app is amazing but when I try to do the cartoon its kinda glitchy And also make the cartoon like more like you so it’s kind good

This is a total scam.

At first you think its a costless offer, but you actually have to pay for it. $79 LTD, $7 for three days use on subscription. Every three days I get charges $7. I chose the three days use. From that comes a disclaimer notice that you must give 24 hour notice when you get off the subscription or you get charged again. It has been two days and I don't even have a reciept to end the subscription. Not to mention the software didn't work. It kept saying the servers are too busy, try back later.

Not as advertised

This app does not work well at all. Tried both uploading a picture and taking a picture and the results were trash...not to mention after the app gives you the poor results a pop up window asks you to pay for a subscription....I am guessing the quality goes up if you subscribe. I know any free app is usually not the greatest but the examples they show does not reflect the quality you actually get.

white anime girl in black face

i read the reviews & it stated that they white wash black people which is obviously a terrible thing by its self. but when i test this app with one of my favorite singers, something came up that is just so...ignorant. I didn’t get a white washed version of my fave singer, i got an obviously white skinned anime character with brown colored on her face. it did not form the photo, they just slap a poorly colored in anime girl in blackface. is this actually your solution for complaints of white washing???

Racist and colorist. My friends and I are hurt and angry.

I am disgusted. The first thing I saw when I opened the app was the disclaimer that all my black friends were getting too. That they do not have a dark skin avatar so they cannot “handle” a dark skin selfie. Beyond it being incredibly inelegant it is also clearly racist. Did this app originate in Asia? Is that why it appears the not understand the complexities of political correctness and inclusion? If you don’t have a dark skinned Avatar do not release the app at all. At least not in places where there are dark skinned people who would like to use it. You are limiting your user base just by doing that. It’s downright silly. And I don’t even think I need to say it is offensive and hurtful. You make dark skinned people feel alienated and outcast, perpetuating the hardships they already have to face living as some one with dark skin. Racism and colorism are not things you can just wish away with a disclaimer. You need to act upon it and do something about it. It is not something that we will just be ok with understanding.

Complications... lots

This is a really cool app and I was exited but when ever I put a picture in the character looked nothing like me.. at all. (P.S I am black) Even though I am black the picture would either come out white or a mix of many different faces which makes the character deformed. Extremely deformed. If I could post the picture to show you, you would see how bad it was. All I think is that once this is fixed it will be amazing and the idea of this app is fun.

Worked first few times now not at all

I saw others complaining about this, the app will work for a few pictures, 2 in my case, then says there is a "network error" and cannot generate the face. I tried and tried and it didn't work. I thought this was a way to try and get people to buy the subscription so I got the free trial but it still didn't work. A bit disappointed but at least I got 2 pics.

Doesn’t Work, but Makes for a Great Laugh

don’t download this app thinking it’ll give you even a decent quality photo, because it won’t. however, it is hilarious to see what monstrosity the program creates. also if you have a dark skin tone, you might as well not even download the app as it will not register your face properly. however, should it, you will be heavily whitewashed.
