I Like it!

I love the icon! (and the sounds) reminds me of a "Echoplex" guitar effects. 2nd gen. iPhone users need an adapter with two rings on the jack instead of three to be able to play through speakers.

Fun app! But why no Bluetooth?

Totally enjoy using this app but would love it if I was able to use it wirelessly - dreaming of all the possibilities if I was just able to dance and hear the sound amplified on external speakers.

One of the best music apps in the store!

If you are into experimental music making then this app is for you. I love this app so much that I am creating a new musical project based around it. It is only a $1, give it a spin!

Incredible delay unit

You won't think twice about the $1 you spend. You get something of which the hardware equivalent costs in the $100 range, in a much more charming form. I love playing with delay, but my pedal runs out of batteries quickly. The amount of sounds that can be made here are limitless. This app is great for noise and ambient experimentation.Akamatsu is on a roll.

spectacular app and very fun to use!

this is one of my favorite apps. i use it to create noise music and it is incredible. it is very easy to learn to use after playing with the controls a bit. just turn it on and experiment with it and you’ll have fun. i highly recommend it to anyone who likes noise music or just having fun with the echoes and delay. it turns your phone into a musical instrument if you’re into experimental noise music. it is extremely fun and can be used in a variety of ways and the ability to use it with other apps running in the background(or this app running in the background) to manipulate their sounds is brilliant. this developer puts out a bunch of quality apps for free or very low cost and this app is worth every penny and more. i’d give it ten stars if i could. it can be used in a variety of ways and is great fun. thank you so much for making this wonderful and delightful app! =^_^= <3

Great!

Really cool, lots of creative possibilities. I think it may be working at the edge of the iPhone's cpu however, as it's sometimes glitchy. Very random when that problem arises.

Great Sounding Virtual Tape Echo

This is a simple Echoplex style app that sounds very good, but for it to be useable I need to be able to blend in the dry signal. For example, if I have the delay set for 2.0 seconds and I sing into the mic I hear no sound at all until the delay kicks in 2 seconds later. If I could hear my unaffected voice as soon as I start singing that would help a lot. Also, when the delay time is set below .03s there is nasty distortion. Maybe you could make .03s the lowest setting instead of .01s. This echo machine is still nice though. Lots of fun to play with and well worth the buck I paid for it. Looking forward to future updates.

Description

The extreme delay machine that you've never heard before. In short: This is a Karaoke echo machine. Words spoken in the iPhone's microphone will come back a few seconds later.

It's like the echo effect you can hear at a mountain. You can get various kinds of effects by changing the delay time and the feedback rate. To make music: Tap on the table - it sounds like "tock"......"tock"....."tock"..... Clap your hands - you'll hear "tock", "clap", "tock", "clap", "tock", "clap"... You can produce simple musical patterns this way. Daily life use: Leave it as it is. It's fun to hear repeating sounds of ordinary life. You can use the stereo headset with the mic. Take a walk with the iPhone in your pocket and enjoy the repeating sounds around you. In detail: "Echochops" produces a feedback delay effect (an echo effect) on the sounds from the iPhone's microphone. The feedback delay is widely used to produce rich vocal and guitar sounds. It is also used as a special kind of musical performance. You can use "Echochops" not only as a "musical" application but also as a "noisy" experiment. Features: - Input and output level meter - Input and output level setting - Delay time setting, within 60 seconds. - Feedback rate setting, from 0% to 100% - Direct and Delay balance setting - Four types of audio filters (Lowpass, Highpass, Bandpass, Notch) - Audio filter frequency setting - Audio filer Q setting - Parameter control by audio input/output levels - Parameter control by tilting - Parameter control by rotating (a compass-equipped device only) - Mode setting to change delay time, "Glitch" or "Funny". - Output route setting, headphone/receiver or speaker. - Tilt angle setting for controlling - Upside-down portrait mode for efficient use of microphone and speaker - Delayed sound can be erased - Works with iPod audio simultaneously - Background audio playback (iOS 4.0 and later) [[ ATTENTIONS ]] Due to a latency of an audio input and output, the actual delaying time will be slightly longer than the setting. A natural feedback through the air may happen because the microphone and speaker are placed closely on the iPhone. Distorted sounds or harsh grating noises will be produced depending of the setting of parameters. It would be better NOT to use this application if you cannot stand noisy sounds.
