Amazing game. However...

I downloaded this as a joke, but it turns out that I really enjoy the main game and the mini games. The characters and the story are so interesting and really well written. The graphics as well as the music and sound effects are amazing. I feel like this game could be a show. I love it. However I do think that $15 is a steep price to be able to unlock the full game. Like similar games, I do think it would be better to add free ways of earning messages like watching ads. That way you’ll still make money from ad revenue while allowing players free access to the game. Just an idea. I don’t have any issues with the game itself; it’s great. But players: be conscious that the app isn’t really free. You just get a trial of the game for free. I would’ve given it five stars otherwise because it really is a fun and interesting game.

Awesome.

This is such a witty gem of a game! I see a lot of negative comments about the price of the game, which I find to be more than a little silly. $15 for the whole game. No hoops to jump through. No timers. No gems, gold, tickets, trinkets, bits, or baubles to waste time with- just a really good game. The writing is absolutely spot on, and each of the dads are very charming! I romanced each one, going from favorite to least favorite. I thought “might as well” and I’m really glad I did! Even if they werent my favorite dad, each one of their story lines was engaging and interesting! I also really appreciate that this is a game geared towards actual adults- humor, situations, nostalgia- it has all of them in spades. The dad builder was a lot of fun to play with, and I really appreciated how easy it was to use. The fast forward function worked perfectly and saved a lot of time through re-reads. Very smartly designed. It was also really cool to be able to replay a date right away if it didn’t go so well... Final thoughts: great value for the content, and Goth Dad is best dad.

Astonishingly Good

I am not a person who plays dating sims typically. Or gives them money, as they often seem to be cash grabs. Or writes game reviews.That said, I love this game. The writing is laugh out loud funny. The characters on the surface appear somewhat stereotypical, but actually have a lot of depth and nuance to them. I find myself genuinely entertained by the gameplay.Also, it’s not a cash grab. There’s an extraordinary amount of free content. You can play through one full dad-dating storyline for free. After that, you can choose to give them money. And I did. Which I almost never do for mobile games. I really think the purchase was worth it, and I don’t feel like the game was trying to trick me into it.That being said, there are still a few bugs. Robert’s storyline has been buggy for me, but there has already been one update on this so I suspect that they are aware and trying to fix it. In the meantime, I’d recommend dating one of the other dads for your free one, just in case.TL;DR I don’t play dating sims, but I love this game. It’s funny, it’s sweet, and it’s thoroughly entertaining. The developers clearly put a lot of love into it, and they aren’t trying to gauge you. I sincerely recommend it.

Awesome Dating Sim!

I found this game by accident while scrolling through the App Store, and I’m very happy that I did. I’ve tried other dating sims in the past, and none of them can compete with Dream Daddy. Dream Daddy has a solid plot and plenty lovable and relatable characters to befriend and/or date, which is something that many dating sims lack. Plus, it gives you a window into what parenthood is like for single, gay dads and even into transgender parenting. Both of which are great because even now LGBTQ+ characters rarely receive the spotlight in video games. Another great plus is that the game is free to download. Plus, you get the introduction and three phone messages to start. So if you use that up, and decide that you don’t like the game, you won’t have wasted any money. If you do like it, you can buy three more phone messages, or unlock the entire game for $15, which I highly recommend because it gives access to all of the content this quirky but lovable game has to offer.

Great Game! A continuity error makes Roberts ending confusing though

I really enjoy this game! I did Hugo’s route first, absolutely loved it, and got the unlimited calls. I went to do Roberts route next, and when I got to the ending (spoiler alert!) they have a whole argument about Roberts daughter. Confused, I went on the wiki to try and figure out what happened, and I found that since I didn’t do good on the 3rd date, I didn’t have the context of the argument. It was a bit of a bummer since I didn’t understand why my character was calling Robert a bad person at the end. However, this was my one issue with the game and other than that playing the game has been great! I loved whittling with Robert and Hugo’s 3rd date was the best! I would definitely recommend this game, I just hope that the developers edit it a little bit so that the whole thing with Robert’s daughter becomes a little more clear.

It’s great but..

I have played this game and I enjoyed it so did the friends that I also showed this game to but after playing it I realized that I wouldn’t be able to play another route without 15$ so I deleted it and played the whole thing again I wish there was a way to play this app without playing but games cost money so I get that however I’m leaving a suggestion Incase the creators might read this their is this app that allows you to play all of the game but also you can pay for things that lead you on to new routes or special events like a Christmas event that you could get though playing the game over and over or pay for I think that if you did that you might get more money and people might like the game more but it’s just a suggestion.

My only problem is..

This game is so fun and all the things I get to do during the game play is wonderful but my only problem really is the fact that they only give us 3 data points. I wish there was something where I was able to watch an ad or earn them in some type of way instead of buying them which would make the game I bit more fun. I’ve kept the game for a long time hoping that there would be an update and I’ll still keep it to wait longer but I’ll see what I can do by just deleting and re-downloading the game to get those data points back to use it on one person. Overall besides that it’s a great game as well as the detail in the characters! my personal favorite is craig anyways I recommend it 100%😊

Won’t load

So I got the game about a week ago, really exited to play since I had seen some you tubers play the game. Once I downloaded it, I opened it and let it load. I expected a bit longer of a loading time since pc games turned mobile typically take longer, but not this long. I had left my phone on for a while before I went to sleep, and I ended up falling asleep so my phone turned off. I tried again this morning and the game started loading again. Now keep in mind that I have an iPhone 8 and that this game doesn’t tell you the progress of the download(witch I think it should if it’s gonna take this long). I left the game running and my phone had been on, not sleep mode but the screen is on and the app is running, twenty minutes later it’s still loading. Why does it take so long to load??? How long does it need to load?? Is it my phone or is it the game?? I have no idea but I’m still trying to load the game and it’s taking forever, I haven’t gotten past the loading screen.

It’s okay but

In the beginning the story is upbeat and fresh which keeps the player’s the attention focused but around the time where you go in mini games, and school drama, wrestling, competitive talks... it really isn’t any different from pretty much a dating simulator you would find on the App Store.. The only reason why I personally stayed was to see the dates progress and again the were poorly detailed and could not my attention so I mostly spammed all lot. One good thing was the change of setting of where the story would possibly take place but that’s about it. Otherwise the characters seemed pretty forced like Hugo training to be this big teacher and proud of it. When in truth he loves wrestling, quiz’s, books, and horror movies... like wow what at turn around?! But the game in my opinion is no different from one you’ll find that’s my review on it.

Awesome Game Buttt...

I love this game it’s so fun and there’s nothing else like it, but i’m sure you’ve read this in other reviews that you start off with only 3 call thingies which i’m grateful for lol but I also wish that this game wasn’t just made to make money and that it could be kind of like the game episode where you can watch adds for tickets (cell phone things) or wait until the next day to get more so that I don’t have to keep this game hoping that there’s another update coming for that and it would be cool if there were like gems or diamonds too like episode so you could do more intimate or exclusive things with some of the dads (that you wouldn’t normally get to do) I think that if you guys still want to make money that’s a good way to do it because people pay a lot to buy gems or diamonds so that they can further their relationship on those types of games. Sorry this was so long I hope it helps you in your decision of maybe getting this game or helping some of the app developers for their next update 🙃
