The best camera application, back again !
I'm so glad this app came back, I was really missing it after the iOS 8 update -- now that it's back I can get back to making cool stuff again !! Thanks so much for the application !! I wonder if it would be possible for a video recording feature now that the images are displayed moving in real time -- it's is most definitely an improvement from the first versions ;) it was worth the wait, and I was so excited to see it again. A must have application for anyone working with digital phone art. 10/10
Best photo glitcher out there
I tried a few other photo glitch apps, and this one is for sure the best, by a very talented programmer-artist. You should see his realtime audio visualizers! Man I would pay a bundle for an app of those crazy glitch audio visualizers!Speaking of which, this would be really sick if it could record realtime video while you randomize the fx. I was tapping random to the beat and it was dope like instant Richard Devine vid ;P
Fascinating results
This is one of my all time favorite image editing apps. There’s no telling what you’ll get and the effects are limitless. Have used this app for years and it’s one of the first ones I download when I get a new phone. I was having trouble with the app working on my iPhone X when all of a sudden it worked! I think it’s better than ever - the only thing this app needs is a back button. Tickled pink the app is updated!
Indispensable.
I love Decim8; the developer is so responsive. The live camera view is fun, sharp, useful. This is a crucial glitch app. Users can create increasingly complex chains of distinctive and random iterations of glitch patterns and principles. This is different from simple filters or looks that always change an image the same way. I can't imagine my work as a glitch-based artist without it. I can investigate its possibilities seriously and/or creatively just play with it. And the new update is STUNNING!! The addition of blending modes, opacity, flattening, and additional glitch modes has made this app even more flexible and responsive.
THE BEST
I’ve loved this app for 4+ years now, to this day it remains my absolute faaaaaavorite photo editing app even tho I miss the old layout!! Such a fun way to create instant inspiration, strangeness and new perspectives with any image. Sometimes I use the app to transform photos of my art into even better visual pieces. DECIM8 is an indispensable creativity tool, I can’t recommend it enough!!
Completely irreplaceable
I’ve been using Decim8 for as long as it’s been around. I don’t consider myself a “brand-loyal” person in the main—I’m pretty utilitarian, so I’m loyal to what does the job the best.In the case of Decim8, though, I’m totally loyal because it’s consistently the best art tool in my arsenal and a total joy to work with, besides. I’m so glad the dev isn’t letting this masterpiece die!
The end results are amazing
But getting there can be confusing. I love what this app does but I am never quite sure what I did to do it. If the interface made more sense I would go 5 stars for sure. I would explain my problem but I don't exactly understand how I even do what I do to explain it. But if you're into experimentation and not sure exactly where you want to go this is a wonderful wonderful app
Bugs Fixed? Really?
This was my go to app for glitch art creation but past updates have ruined what was once one of the most creative apps for photo artists. If your app cRashes on an iPad Pro version 2, 10.5 there is something seriously wrong with your programming. I have had nothing but crashes when i am in the middle of something. Also, why so slow? Again, iPad pro! I ha e given this app a 5* rating in the past but now down to 1* for crappy updates. If this new update does actually fix the crashing, ill change the score.
Outstanding
The app itself has always been incredible, provided you're into demolishing pictures into distorted, digital monstrosities. The new update seems to be much smoother and more intuitive, and there's practically zero wait time compared to the older version. The only thing that could make this app better is being able to record video through these filters, whether they be stationary effects or ever evolving and warping glitches.

This is a great app! Thank you for making this app! This is probably my favorite photography App! I use it all the time! The new interface layout is clunky. The previous interface layout was better! The randomize filter order button should be out of the way. After placing the filters in a desired order it is easy to bump this randomization button, shuffling the filters.. Frustrating and annoyingThe huge save button up front and center?! The save button should also be out of the way, to the side. The button that now says "random params" used to be in the center.. Where I think it should be. "random params" button is used more that the other buttons and takes priority.. Please put it back in the center.. The previous layout was great. It may have needed a few subtle improvements, but was better functionally, and aesthetically IMO.. I think that the new layout of the interface is a few steps backward.
