Loved prior to update
I played this game all the time (924) games played on a single device. I was frustrated before because it would allow me to restore my previous purchase. However, I continued to play.Installed the update and I hate it. It is very slow. One reason I liked the game before was because I could play very quickly. Now, due to the lag in the game, I will have to another game. I wish I could undo the updates and go back the the previous version.VERY disappointing update! Prior to the update, I would rate 4 stars but after the update I am forced to downgrade my rating to 2 stars.
Mediocre
The harder the skill level you choose the worse your dice rolls become. The AI doesn’t improve in its tactics, just bad rolls of the dice against the player. Example I’ve attacked with 15-20 pieces against 3-5 pieces and lost, multiple times in the same game. The AI will attack, for example, at 10-15 vs 6-8 and absolutely dominate, again, multiplier times in the game. The AIs will also intentionally not attack each other even in cases where they outnumber each other 2:1 or even 3:1.
Great game
I've played this game for years! Easy to use and great maps! I love “Twin Volcano!” I’ve occasionally experienced some of the glitches mentioned, and found reinstalling to solve the problem. I think in almost 15 years of playing several times a week, I’ve only needed to reinstall twice. Perfect game for those who love the simplicity of Risk, with more maps, and less worthless flash. I have recommended this game a hundred times, and can not understand how it is possible for it to have the rating listed. This game should win awards for having so many five star ratings!
Disappearing armies
The game is decently fun, but I’m having issues with my armies disappearing. It seems like the armies disappear if they’re next to a bigger army that captures a region. It’s also not very easy to get app support for this game. I only started experiencing these issues after I bought some of the expansions, so maybe that’s why. I’ve been having issues with getting pieces to move where I want them to, but the disappearing armies is the main thing. I’d avoid purchasing anything until this issue is addressed
Terrible Update
I absolutely loved this game prior to the update. But now it is way too slow, and the AI seems to have changed in an odd way. Please bring back the fast-paced game. Why did it have to change?**EDIT** The developer response to my comment is unhelpful. My review is based on having the game speed set to Very Fast. This setting is still *extensively* slower than the update. I would gladly pay $20-$30 (or more) to purchase the older version of this app. I miss it that much! The new version is simply *way* too slow, and the AI has changed significantly.
Don't consider anecdotes
Hey Sean, I've been playing this game for at least 8 months now, and I am completely satisfied with its simplicity and strategic aspects. I love this rts game over most other competitors. After reading other reviews, I see that they experience lag/ glitchy gameplay which I never had (Iphone Xs, ios 12.2.2). When I recommended this game to my friend and he started playing it, he experienced lag only when troops were being placed or moved. He reinstalled it and it went away. I personally experiment with different settings, different maps, and different combat rules and try to come victorious every time. This game gives me a thrill that no other game gives. It's feels empowering, knowing that every time you came out victorious it was due to your tactical superiority. Really fun game, despite the amount of people experiencing glitches.
15 update
Excellent update!!! Love it!Just 2 additional fixes related to the number color changes on the map. On the armies bar at the bottom/side, change the white number to black for the yellow and change the black number to white for blue, to be better legible and consistent with the map. Thx and keep up the great work!!!
Additional maps
I just bought all of the additional maps and have tried several. In at least 2 of the maps, I run into 2 problems. First, in some cases, I cannot attack an adjacent territory. Second, in some cases, I cannot move armies to an adjacent territory. In some cases, this can be resolved by expanding or shifting the display. In other cases, there is no getting around the problem. I have to either abandon the armies or take several turns to march them to another territory. These are isolated instances but are still rather annoying.
“No Network” after update
Review update: it works again!!! 🎉🎉 Thank you!!!Old Review: Ever since iOS 15 update when I go to host/join a game it says “No Network”. My Bluetooth and WiFi are on, I used this feature almost daily now I can’t at all. If the developer reads these please look into this, thank you
Great Risk idea - Need work
2 major things stand out to me as getting in the way of this being a great game:1) A major bug where sometimes my armies completely disappear (I.e I’ll have 20 armies & defeat a location with 1 army & I’ll have 18 left over …but all disappear & it’s as though I lost all armies going forward)2) The AI is horrendous - even in the hardest difficulty. They don’t act in THEIR best interests (i.e protecting borders, completely defeating players for their cards, etc)If these 2 things are fixed, it would be a decent game

Conquest is a version of the classic board game where you combine risk and strategy to conquer the world.
