This is one of the most amazing and easy to use apps for planning your movie shots. It’s magical the way you can drop in characters to actual locations and then move your iphone around them with virtually any framing and angles as if you have actual real stand-ins helping you to compose your shots!
This is a really great tool. Keep going and keep developing this! -figures are hard to rotate, shrink and enlarge - would be great to have a video function enabled for moving shots - there should be an option to export multiple images at once instead of as one flattened image fileThanks for creating this awesome piece of software. I’m going to use this a ton.
Loud sound effects you can’t turn off. It won’t use the wide angle camera on the iPhone 11 Pro. Every time you open a menu, you have to rotate your phone vertical to change a setting. Every time you leave the app and return to it, it has to open again and load through the splash screen. I would’ve paid the $40 for the camera pack, but not with all these issues.
Maybe it’s just mine, but the camera freezes before I can actually set up a shot. I get blurry pictures or just a shot that’s not correctly framed. Like the 3D models because I cannot draw!
Really great idea. Unfortunately, it seems to require online access. When turning off location services then turning it back on, app freezes on startup. Only fix seems to require online access in order to un-freeze which limits functionality (remote location shoots with limited or no internet). Until that's fixed it's difficult to fairly rate the app as its use is too limited to stage or locations with reliable internet. Again, really great idea that could use some improvements, but the freezing issue needs to be resolved first.
iOS 14.6. Photos are not saved to to the camera roll, app is not viable. Edit: the app saves to its own gallery, I have been in touch withe developer, there will be major update this summer.
Too many men or women models that are basically the same post, stand, walk, sit, they don't make too many difference to each other in practice. On the other hand, no model is lying down, squatting, on their knees, jumping, etc., which makes the App very limited in use.
I’m blown away by what I was able to achieve with this app! The only downside is that it crashes every time I attempt to save the images.
I’m currently developing a shot list and storyboards for a short film, and this app makes my life so much easier. Easy to use and works really well.Feedback:-A great in-app purchase would be expansions to the people and objects we can use. e.g. People sitting, running, kneeling, etc. and basic furniture like chairs and tables.-I can’t figure out how to remove someone from the frame without just force quitting my app. Is there an easy way to reset the frame that I’m missing? My storyboard artist and I have been taking weird, awkward selfies to try and figure out 3D perspectives for her to reference as she makes her 2D drawings, so this app is a lifesaver. A few updates will make this a truly indispensable tool.
Excellent app for shot blocking and story-boarding. I personally use it all the time. Include more characters (real/fantasy), props, weapons, interiors/exteriors. Animated characters with simple walking, running and some animated gestures will be super cool.
Blocker is an augmented reality director's viewfinder. It makes it easy for filmmakers to communicate their vision. Place 3D characters on set or in your living room, frame your shots then create storyboards to share.
