Worst update ever! Completely broke SAML login so the app is useless now

I used to use this app almost every week from my phone when I wasn’t at my Mac or PC to remote in to someone’s computer. Since the update, it just gives me a green check mark on a white screen when I try to log in with SAML which is the only way we have set up to log in. I really wish this app still worked and you guys stuck the methodology of “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!”

Great but 1.5 years later it should support iPhone X’s full screen

This app is helpful, but it’s a little alarming that a year and a half after the iPhone X was released, this app still does t support it’s screen. Come on bomgar, even my local grocery store has their app updated.......

Latest Update Terrible

Update: wow, you took an app that actually functioned and broke it entirely. I cannot actually jump to a client. It just says “start screen sharing” and that’s it. Being able to jump to a customer using my iPhone is a must and you have forced me to begin searching for an alternate method. I cannot believe people still have jobs after releasing this crap. A thousand dollars says the entire development team is off-shore. I have been using Bomgar / BeyondTrust since 2008. I still have the rackmount server and it has always been amazing. It revolutionized my business and I could not work without it. Lately, I have noticed many vendors designing things with what appears to be staff that never actually use whatever they’re designing and this latest update is another example. Who designed this?!? I could care less about making it pretty…what I do care greatly about is actually being able to see the names of the jump clients I am trying to connect to (as all previous versions allowed). What Mensa candidate thought it a good idea to remove the computer names and only show “active (online)” which does us no good especially when there are 400 of them! Sure, we can search for a name, but why ADD a step to what was a simple process in the past?? What a complete failure and why don’t you ASK your users and clients before redesigning a tool that is used daily. Given the price of your products you would think the customer would be top of mind.

Works great

I’ve been using Bomgar for years now but never really had a need for the app. Recently started using it and it works great with no issues for me.

This app needs to be updated

I use this program often and it works great on a PC. In a pinch it is a life saver on a phone or tablet, but it lacks basic modern updates. The mouse is terrible, just try using an external mouse with an ipad and you will see what I mean. This app is not set up with background app refresh and it needs to be. If I am multitasking my connections just drop….. Unacceptable!!!!! Fix it!Look at Microsoft RDP client app!!!! They did a great job with that app!!!

Bring back the old version.

Mouse is absolutely terrible. Works 20% of the time. Everything was great before the latest update. Wish I could roll back to the old version. Thousands upon thousands spent each year and this is what we get. Someone really needs to look into this. Glad I’m not the only one with mouse functionality issues based on other reviews.

Infrequent updates not keeping with the times

This app is not updating frequently enough to keep with how the desktop versions work. Support for iPad Pro Keyboard/Trackpad is extremely buggy. Credential injection/vault does not work reliably. This app is in sore need of updating. Your desktop product is fantastic, but the iOS/iPadOS app appears to be forgotten. This is a crucial tool for our on-call techs.

SAML sign in no longer works

Has always been a good product/app. SAML always worked great with no issues and I was able to connect up and support people on the go if needed. Latest update has UI changes that I’m not sure what to think of, but the SAML sign in no longer works… it just gives me a green check mark and takes me back to the sign in screen… so I haven’t been able to get in to access my resources, so I couldn’t tell you if the other UI changes are an improvement or not, but since I can no longer sign in, this is now useless to me. After further investigation it looks like it has logged in, but it is stuck with the sign in screen being displayed, I can drag the screen down and see the new controls at the top but I can’t select anything because as soon as I let go of the sign in screen it pops back into place. If I have another connection going on my pc it does sign me off the pc and any open sessions seem to pop over to the mobile device, it just is inaccessible because the stupid sign in screen is still stuck in place. Anyhow, if someone could fix the sign in screen I’m the UI that would be much appreciated.

Broke IOS Screen Sharing

The main point of this app is to remotely log in and screen share to troubleshoot a problem. This app is basically useless with the new update. If I could rate it less I would. They then said it could take months to fix, what a joke.

Buggy

Once in a while it works as advertised. But more often than not it just crashes. Usually it crashes right after log in, but sometimes it waits and lets me jump on a screen (making me think I have succeeded) only to crash then. Very poor marks for a supposed professional product! 80% of my troubleshooting is done from my iPhone and my company is making me give up my VNC for this garbage? Not happy!
