Good and Bad

I’ve made about $500 from the app since June. My only issue is that if you need to withdrawal from a job it gives no confirmation to the employer. It puts you at risk for being rated low by that employer. One job I worked at 3 people didn’t show and the employer had no cancellation notices from Bacon. I spoke to one of these people and they told me they did put a withdrawal into the app but it never reached the supervisor at the worksite. This has been a known issue since September and it still isn’t fixed. The other critique I have is you will apply for some positions and not be notified if your accepted or not. This can result in lost wages waiting around for a merchant that never confirms your hired. There should be a deadline for the merchants to accept the workers for their time Other than these issues I like the app.

Well I just want to say that Alicia was very professional and extremely helpful to me, helping me out to understand the process and how to handle the situation, was really patient and allowed me to explain my version of the problem, , definitely helped and made me feel I was not alone, giving me her support and encouragement to do things better, by showing me ways of doing things better while picking up work , I’m definitely impressed by the way that Bacon support teams work always ready to support everyone , Alicia is a perfect example of it , thank a lot Bacon team support, keep it going .

best temp job app!!

I LOVE this app! I recommend it to all my friends. I was working an AWFUL job this last summer and ended up quitting a month before college started back up. I was stressed how I was going to earn enough money to pay tuition, given no where would hire me for only a month. Lo and behold, a friend suggested I try Bacon!! Best decision ever! The app is seriously as good as it sounds; you select a job, show up and work the shift, and get payed! Every company I’ve worked for has been awesome. This app gave me the freedom and money I needed! Even though school has started back up, I still pick up a shift whenever I have a day off! To ANYONE needing some extra cash, freedom, or flexibility- please try bacon!

Great concept, not well thought out

I’m currently suspended, should lift as of today(1/3/21). I got a low score and to many withdrawals. And that’s where my issues lie. The company doesn’t get notifications that I’m withdrawing. I even texted the number to the supervisor the night I had to withdraw late. No response. I’m assuming that if you’re using this app, you have a full time job and like the money for fun or to give yourself a little walking around cash. I got a low score due to leaving after 6 hours because of a Emercancy and I was “on my phone to much”. A night shift making signs with a skeleton crew and the amount of signs I banded will say otherwise but whatever. Poor company anyways. So not that I care about the low score, but there isn’t any place where you can dispute anything. Which can cause you do be suspended for something that most people and companies don’t care about who pay less then 10 bucks an hour. ( I probably sound entitled but whatever. I’m being honest in my review. Which is why you’re reading this) if you can find a job where you’re at. They are going to be companies with high turn over rates. For whatever that may be. Bacon really needs to go back to the drawing board and fix not only company policies, but fix all the broken bugs and glitches within the app. So I’m giving them a 1 star. Because they haven’t fixed anything from the past reviews I’ve seen. Like the job experience. Can’t scroll.

One of the good ones

This app has rocked my wallet now for about a year and I have no bad gigs to complain about but be sure to wear closed toed shoes and show up ready to work and be polite curtesy and nice and you won’t have no trouble this app is really nice to have if your about making dough and putting bacon on the table for you or the family I can say many good things about this app but one thing I can say In a timely manner is you want this app if you like money or need the money because it brings it in and you can receive your money fast if you would like and with all that said I’ll let you decide if you want the app want money and wanna be a part of the community with awesome people and want to be eating that fat juicy bacon at the store Peace baby and love what you do……..

App Issues

As an “Elite” level worker it’s been frustrating using the Bacon app. Ever since December 2022 the app hasn’t been showing the available jobs. And when a job shows up it’s taken immediately. I go to apply and keep getting “application limit reached” or “not accepting applications”. The app lately has only been showing one or two jobs for a specific date. They’re already taken and no other alternatives. The people at “Bacon” keep apologizing for things, saying their constantly bringing new clients/ jobs on board. Yet nothing is showing. Am I not supposed to be getting notified or invited first to jobs?? I delete and reinstall and still same issues. Or else I’ll apply and get a job. Only for it to be deleted or cancelled, and then once I got notified to confirm if I was attending that job, even though it got cancelled.

My review

Ok so far it was ok up the stupid quiz to be honest I don’t know why you would waste time having one you don’t need it to work a job. I have took it 3 times now and watched the video 5 times. The last two times I scored a 6/7. And it’s the same question the very last one I don’t know what im missing here it could be a glitch but after I have to wait 19 mins after each one is kinda stupid as well. Since im waiting I figure I would write a review. I think people should still be able to pass with a 6/7 to use the app but personally I think it should be taken out the video already answers questions and tells you what you need to know. Sadly I can’t give a review on how the app works and talk about how great it is do to this so just going to give it a one star because how can someone rate something that you can’t try out. It’s like a no show can’t rate someone if they don’t show up so no call no show get a rating of a one star.

Workers Beware

So I was really excited about my first gig with Bacon. So I prepared arrived on time and ready to work. However when I arrived to my job site, the Owner/manager stated he did not request Bacon staff for that day…so he sent me home. However the app stated that he confirmed the job. Don’t know who is at fault or if there was a glitch with the app. Anyhoo, I felt I wasted my time and could have used the day to work somewhere else. But the real kick for me was that Bacon has yet to return any of my emails or phone calls regarding this job and in the system there is an ongoing cycling of waiting for the manager to confirm the job (which he isn’t going to do) When a company does this it does not make me feel very safe or confident in them and their ability to manage future issues if they arise.

Not worth it other apps are better

I’m almost a pro on bacon I’ve been working for them for a minute but I would not recommend this app to anyone. I’ve had so many issues with it from company’s saying I didn’t show up when they turned me away as a back up so they don’t have to pay the 15 to company’s outright refusing to pay me. It took me 2 weeks to get the money I was owed finally and it was no thanks to bacon support who is absolutely useless and takes forever to respond I had to go through the labor commission. Most of the jobs pay pretty low wages and are sketchy there are a few good ones I worked for and kept going back to but overall the quality isn’t the best and to top it all off they don’t take taxes out so have fun dealing with that at the end of the year. Overall I would just recommend going through a temp agency for finding a decent job this isn’t worth it.

No jobs

So I live in a pretty big city and I download this app a month ago and I have yet to see any jobs pop up on the app or me being notified of any. In fact, the only jobs that pop up are a month or a couple of months old, which is strange that they are even popping up at all since they are past due. Seriously every time I check the app it’s the same five jobs that are all a month or two old that pop up and absolutely no jobs are coming through and like I said, I live in a good size city so that shouldn’t even remotely be an issue. I have tried no filter and changing various filters and the same exact five jobs pop-up that are no longer available. I think this app and company needs to expand because what’s the point of even having it if I can’t get any work?
