Thank you so much!

I love this game so much! Not only is it fun, but it is very helpful! I started playing this game early last year and wasn’t in Chemistry. Now I am in Chemistry, and we actually had a quiz on naming the first 20 elements on the periodic table. I forgot about it and didn’t study, but what helped me to ace it was this game. It helped me to remember the elements and the order of them. The next quiz we have will be the first 50 elements, and believe me, I WILL be using this game to study!☝️

Poorly thought out

Despite the aesthetic and clean animations, this game has no complexity and was poorly thought out by the developers. 1) GameplayWhile the core premise of this game is sound, serious players will be disappointed by the lack of thought put into the game modes. Notably, in classic mode it is possible to have a highest atom that is is twice as large as the atoms that are spawning. This leads to a tedious grind that leaves your spawned atoms trailing slowly behind while your largest atom slowly crawls higher. This does not make for exhilarating gameplay and it is worth playing only once.2) Achievements and UnlockablesNo thought was put into the creation of unlockables as many of them work against the player during the game. Perhaps you “enjoy the challenge” that these unlockables give, but they do not add difficulty to game play. In fact, they disrupt any winning strategy, making the game more of a grind. Moreover, any useful hardly changes the gameplay. Many achievements encourage grinding and the mystery achievements have no way of completing. While the app is free, and does not matter in general, I cannot help but to express my disappointment in the game. I am extremely disappointed in the developers ability. This is genuinely a terrible game.

Great for passing the time

Been playing this for a year now. Relaxing way to pass the time if you just need to distract yourself for awhile. If you know a little about chemistry you will see some familiar names, and a lot of not so familiar ones. Lots of fun with just enough strategy to keep you engaged. That being said, you won’t make it much past “level” 60 without a power up. Not sure if it’s impossible or I’m just not as talented. Either way, spend a few dollars to get a power up and see if it helps you move past a rough spot. Even without paying anything it’s still lots of fun. Definitely check it out!

I FOUND A SINGLE GLITCH

Let me start by saying, this is one of the best mobile games you can play. No micro transactions, forced ads, or timers that make you wait to play the game. This is just a fun little strategy game that has cute little atoms. This game is worth the $0 price tag, even if it was $1 it would still be worth it.Message to devs: I found a glitch involving the black hole. If the black hole is placed in a particular spot, it can cause two of the same atoms with a plus between them to not join together. I took a screenshot of this if my explanation isn’t clear.

Very fun, but winning is based on luck

I’ve been playing this game for years, I’ve gotten nearly double the “devs highscore,” and while it’s a very entertaining game fun to play in those short moments when I’m on a bus or waiting in line, I’m convinced it isn’t beatable by skill alone. There is a not insignificant factor of luck, and as you get closer to the end game it’s programmed to make your luck worse by giving you numbers that are further and further apart from one another and reducing the chance of + and - it seems making it unbeatable. In the last game I lost I had 1 piece left on the board then got enough numbered pieces (without any + or -) in a row to lose the game, that’s what really set me on the path of changing my review to this one. Being luck based it’s theoretically possible to win by getting lucky but I don’t like that. For a game like this I usually rate 1/5, 3/5 is the highest rating I’ll give for an unbeatable or win by luck game.

Fun but frustrating, less fun less stars edit

I wish I could post a screenshot with the review, six +’s at the beginning of today’s game. Seems to be happening more often now. The developers don’t respond to reviews, well with “free” you get what you pay for eh? The game has a number of positives going for it. But unfortunately the “randomness” of it isn’t one of them. I’ve played a number of times now and the +s come in waves at the beginning of each game and then disappear as atoms build up. I’ve had literally more +s then atoms then they disappear. Is it a coincidence that a paid feature removes atoms so game play can continue? Not likely… time and again I play “free” games that use a paid “fix” for the lack of randomness in their random games. Sorry I don’t like to be played, only play…

Not quite ready to quit and delete but if the developer doesn’t want to respond to concerns then why bother playing a game that just irritates you.

Where’s game modes? Scoreboards?

Let me start by saying I LOVE this app, I’ve been playing since high school and encountered essentially no bugs, no issues playing the game and have had hours of entertainment from this game, but with this recent update (I’m on iPhone 11) everything seems to be missing, there’s no game modes other than the standard and no option to go to my high scores. Kinda a bummer considering I used to love Zen Mode. Any solutions? An update fixing the bug coming soon? Anything?

Flawed

I really, really want I just love this game, but the more times you play it the more obvious it becomes that there’s something not right with the way atoms are distributed. Each time a new game starts, the ratio of pluses to atoms is skewed waaaay toward pluses. Like, get a couple of atoms, then three pluses in a row, a couple more atoms, two more pluses... it’s really common for me to have only 3 or 4 atoms but 5 or 6 pluses all stacked up on the same board. Then once you’ve played for a bit, no more pluses. I’ve tried hoarding them, but that just fills up the board so I can’t have as many atoms to work with. By the time I’ve gotten up to Gallium or so, I just get ten or more atoms in a row with no pluses. It’s impossible to advance. Please fix this!

Amazing but feel cheated

This game is amazing and way too addicting, yet sometimes it can leave you feeling in the wrong. Half the time I die, is just based on a string of the same element with no plush tiles. You instantly fill up and lose no matter what you do, and you are left feeling cheated. You don’t think “I can better myself” or “I could’ve done this” you just ask why? It’s quite annoying when this happens, and it mostly just prompts me to rage quit. Please fix this, also add more boosters after radon, one like boron where you start at a higher level, I feel like the last element could start you at like uranium or something, it would make the game much more enjoyable. Amazing game.

Description

Atomas is a fascinating puzzle game, which you can learn in seconds but will entertain you for weeks. The perfect game for your spare time! Your little universe starts with hydrogen atoms only but with the help of the energy rich plus atoms you are able to fusion two hydrogen atoms into one helium atom, 2 helium atoms into one lithium atom and so on.

Your primary goal is to create the valuable elements like Gold, Platinum and Silver. But watch out, if your universe is overfilled with too many atoms it will cause a big crunch and the game is over. One way to prevent this is to build up long symmetries in your atoms and start big chain reactions. From time to time minus atoms appear, use them for absorbing and replacing atoms within your universe or sacrifice them for a plus atom. You see Atomas is not hard to play, but if you want to get to the top you'll need a good strategy, which keeps your atoms organized. By creating new elements like oxygen or copper you unlock lucky charms, which effect the game in various ways and adjust it to your strategy. What Atomas offers you: - 4 different game modes - simple but addicting game mechanics - 124 different atoms to create - 12 different lucky charms - exciting challenges - compare your scores with friends via GameCenter - share your score on twitter and Facebook - quick tutorial The developers high score is 66 534. Can you do better?
